| The
removal of soil cores from sampling tubes must be accomplished with the
minimum of disturbance, particularly when small specimens have to be prepared
from a large sample in order to carry out strength tests. Large extrusion
forces, used indiscriminately, will compress soil resulting in false valves
of shear strength and consolidation. |

FRAME UNIVERSAL :ASTM D1452
This extract frame has been designed to extract specimens from almost
every type of sampling tube and would in general use in the soil engineering
labo-ratory or in the field. It has the advantage that it can be mounted
vertical-ly or horizontally as desired. Three 38mm dia samples can be
collected into three 38mm dia tubes from one100mm diameter sample. This
is a unique feature which ensures the economic use of the sample in an
undisturbed state

FRAME HYDRAULIC
Frame provided with a hydraulic jack hand operated and adaptors for taking
out samples from core cutters, proctor moulds and C.B.R. moulds. The upper
reaction frame has a groove to receive the standard 4" or 6" moulds or
core cutter, and the ejector discs are attached to the jack piston.
