Load
Frame are useful devices employed for application of compression and penetration
loads required for various tests such as unconfined compression test, Triaxial
Shear Test, California Bearing Ratio Test etc. The load appli-cation is
affected by advancement of load screw secured against rotation by a sliding
key. The load application is measured with a proving ring.
SYTEX manufactures a wide variety of load frames with different designs
of frame structure, modes of operation [manual or electrically driven] loading
capacities, speeds of travel, so that appropriate section is possible to
meet the requirements of modern techniques and standard methods used for
various tests to cover different soil types and sizes of specimens.

LOAD
FRAME HAND OPERATED (50 KN CAPACITY)
Features: Portable, light weight and sturdy. Can
be used in the laboratory field and mobile .
Useful for CBR and Triaxial.
The unit is designed for a maximum load of 50 KN and consists of screw
jack mounted in a frame with identical top base channel pieces so that
the unit can be placed either way up and the device can be used for loading
from above or from below which ever is convenient.

LOAD
FRAME ELECTRICALLY OPERATED 50 KNS 5 SPEEDS
It consists of a cabinet which houses the electrical
motor, reduction gear and the turret gear box. The loading is done by
the upward lever is set to the neutral position, it isolates the load
screw from the rest of the drive mechanism and the load screw can then
be manually operated up or down by operating the handle. On the unit are
fixed a main switch a forward reverse switch. A relay is provided inside
the cabinet so that in case of power failure, the unit will not restart
of its own resumption of power, unless the switches are operated.
The adjustable cross head can be set at any height over the two pillars
and secured in position by tightening the adjustment nuts. It carries
a proving ring adopter. A bracket for strain dial gauge is attached to
one of the pillars of the load frame.

FRAME BENCH TYPE HAND OPERATED CAPACITY 30 KN
Features: Portable light weight, sturdy and two
pillar type. Can be used in the mobile laboratory also. Useful for routine
tests, unconfined, Triaxial. The loading system consists of a screw jack
with detachable ball crank handle and the lower platen is moved up for
applying load. The top bracket is adjustable for height and carries a
standard proving ring. A strain dial gauge bracket is provided clamped
to one of the two pillars of the load frame.

POCKET
PENTROMETER
This is for evaluating the shearing strength of
soil on field exploration or construction sites and in the preliminary
laboratory studies. It gives directly the unconfined strength. It consists
of a light weight barrel assembly with a polished and ground steel loading
position plunger. The direct reading scale is engraved on the piston barrel
and indicates load. The calibrated spring is heat treated and plated for
rust resistance. The barrel diameter is 20mm and the length is 15mm
