PENDULAM
IMPACT TESTING MACHINE
This machine is for determining the impact strength of notched and un-notched
metal bars of different sections and different lengths according to the
Charpoy method. The machine is meant for making Charpoy, Izod and Tension
Impact Tests. The hammer of carefully chosen weight when dropped from
predetermined height strikes the test bar laid between supports in the
base of the machine, and there by breaks it. |

TORSION
TESTING MACHINE : FOR WIRES
The number of twists required to fracture a wire sample can be determined
rapidly with this machine. The standard machine consists of a gear box
coupled with a motor to give output of either 30, 60 or 90 rpm. A revolution
counter indicates the total number of twists and stops counting when the
test sample fails. The distance between the rotating and non rotating
chuck can be up to 500mm length. The wire is held between two chucks.
The wires from 1 – 10mm can be tested with the machine. The machine is
electrically operated.

metal wires, tubes, sheet materials. Torque measurement is by pendulum
Dynamometer system. Torque ranges can be adjusted. Torque can be applied

SPRING
TESTING MACHINES
The spring testing machines are specially designed to study the deformation
characteristics of coil spring for compression and tension by applying
a minimum effort through hydraulic jack system. The loading jack can be
operated electrically as well as manually by rotating a hand wheel. The
machine gives directly the load per unit of deformation of the spring.
The machine comprises of a finely finished cabinet type housing incorporating
in it the hydraulic jack assembly, hydraulic pumping unit and driving
motor. The cabinet housing has been provided with a hand wheel on the
front side for manual operation.
A specially calibrated pressure gauge is provided in the panel to indicate
the load applied.
The housing frame carries a twin frame for holding the spring sample either
for compression or tension test. A scale is fixed on the moveable plate
and a pointer to indicate the deflection caused by the test
