Methods
of tests for strength of concrete require specimens for testing to be cast
in a number of standard shapes and sizes for the compression and flexural,
strength determination. These are called moulds.
The moulds are made of metal are stoutly built to minimize distortion and
porosity and to retain their shape and size under rugged conditions.

It
is essential that the end of the concrete cylinder specimens are flat and
parallel when conducting a compressive test, for this capping sets are available
for use in the field as well as in the laboratory.
These are HORIZONTAL as well as VERTICLE type.

mixer laboratory type, electrically operated. Designed to remove the burden-some
work of hand mixing. Uniform thoroughly mixed batches can be produced. The
counter balanced drum is easy to tilt 1 1/2" to 2 cu.ft.mix. Mounted on
a sturdy rubber tyre stand; the drum is mounted for end discharge &

Jolting
Apparatus
The
apparatus consists of a rectangular table rigidly connected by two support
arms to a spindle at a horizontal distance of 800mm from the center of the
table. The table can be raised and allowed to fall freely by a cam which
is connected to a motor. The cam rotates at a rate of 60 rev/min. A stroke
counter provided with micro switch is provided which stops the machine after
60 jolts. Locating pins are provided for mounting the mould compartments
on the table. The mould surrounded by the hopper can be clamped rigidly
to the table. Supplied complete with mould and hopper. Suitable for operation
on 220 volts, 50 cycles, single phase A.C. |
