Vicat
Needle Apparatus : IS 5513
For
determining the quantity of water required to produce a cement paste of
standard consistency. Standard consistency is attained when the 10mm plunger
penetrates the material to a predetermined depth under free fall, and
a new sample is prepared and tested with initial and final needles. It
consists of a frame bearing a movable plunger with a cap at the top end
and a vicat mould and a base plate. Plungers and needles of different
sizes are supplied with various models of vicat apparatus. Supplied with
dash pot/ without dash pot.

Autoclave (Laboratory model) : IS 4031
SYTEX
Autoclave is suitable for conducting accelerated sound ness tests
on cement or the autoclave expansion test requiring constant steam pressure
with the correspondent constant pressure. It consists of a stainless steel
cylinder with a welded heated insulated metal housing, attractively finished
in hammer tone. The control unit encloses a sensitive pressure gauge,
power switches and pilot lights for controlling the electric heating units. |

Shrinkage
Autoclave Bar Mould : IS 10086 & 4031
There
are mainly two models offered. One is provided with stainless steel smooth
reference points and the second one is provided with knurled and threaded
reference points. Both the models are available as single mould and multiple
mould compartments. Each mould is supplied complete with base plate and
two reference points per mould or mould compartment.

Comparator : IS 4031
The
apparatus can be used for the three basic tests (1) Initial Drying Shrinkage
i.e. the difference between the length when it is dried. (2) Drying Shrinkage
- the difference between the length when completely dried. (3) Moisture
movement - the difference between the length of the dried specimen and
its length when again saturated with water.
The apparatus consists of a frame with adjustable cross plate and a recessed
seating and a stainless steel reference bar.
